Landscape Design – More Than Just Cutting Grass!

For more than 27 years, GP Landscape Design has been servicing the local community and beyond with custom-tailored property care as well as unique design/build installations. Installations range from simple plant installations to complete makeovers, including custom retaining walls, paver patios, pool surrounds, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, and complete outdoor living spaces.

“We love and specialize in backyard pool projects. The sky is the limit with so many elements to really make your property one of a kind! The backyard has really become where the action happens, and we love to see the look on a customer’s face throughout the process. True WOW factor,” said owner Greg Picca.

Additional service offerings include hardscape and pool design, including complete plans and 3D renderings, project management, landscape lighting, drainage solutions, plant healthcare including tick and mosquito control, and commercial snow management.

Greg is a 2004 graduate of NYIT with a degree in Architecture with a focus on construction management. “I’ve always loved designing, being outdoors, and seeing what we drew up come to life.” His love for masonry came from a young age, working side by side with his late father, who was a mason. “Having been hands-on really gives you a sense of appreciation for all the team members do on a daily basis.” GP also lives and shops in Center Moriches with his wife Deb and children Enzo, 8, and Ari, 7, who both attend Clayton Huey Elementary. Deb has become an integral part of the company as well after selling her prior venture. With her business expertise, she has organized and helped streamline office operations.

In addition to Greg, operations are managed by General Manager Joe Walsh, Project Manager Roric Walter, Senior Account Manager Bob Mitterando, and office leads Jeannie and Amber. It takes a team; combined, these GP Managers have well over 75 years of experience in the green industry.

GP Landscape Design is a complete full-service landscape contractor, meaning they handle all your outside needs under one roof. “We’ve even gotten a call for raccoons in the attic! Although we didn’t personally handle it, we have our trusted partners to aid in these cases.”

“At the end of the day, our customers trust us to do the work and do it right,” said GP. With over 22 vehicles on the road daily, you are sure to see their clean trucks with green fenders taking care of your neighbors’ homes.

It’s important to choose your contractor wisely. Although it may seem like an easy business to get into, many companies fail due to inexperience and poor customer service after a few short years. That’s why GP Landscape Design’s commitment to excellence leads to continual customer satisfaction and referrals.
